Explore the AI knowledge base, including terms, frameworks, and prompt resources →Is it really free? Do I need an account?
Both September workshops and the companion course are completely free. Register with just your email. You do not need a ChatGPT account to use this site. To practice in an AI tool, use your own account or watch Kyle’s demonstration. No paid upgrade is needed to attend.
How do I join or find my confirmation email?
After registering, check your inbox and spam folder for each workshop’s confirmation email. Select “Confirm I received this email” to enable reminders. It includes your room code, a direct room link, and a calendar link.
The room is for the interactive course. Google Meet is the separate video call. Both links are in your workshop details.
Open saved workshop details →Join with a room code →If you still need help, email jonathankylehobson@gmail.com.
Can I explore before the workshop or return afterward?
The introduction and first lesson are available without a room code. Your room code unlocks the full course one hour before the event, or when Kyle opens it. Keep the same room link or code to return afterward.
Explore the free course →What are AI, prompts, skills, and MCPs?
Generative AI produces a draft from your instructions and context. A prompt tells it what you want. A skill supplies reusable instructions; a connector gives it access to another tool or source. MCP is one standard for those connections. Always check the result against your source material.

Your notes: Saved on this site under an anonymous browser identifier. The cookie remembers access for up to six months. A different browser or cleared cookies will not restore the same workbook. Export a copy to keep it. Your presenter cannot see your workbook.
Live participation: Your optional display name and connection status are visible only to your presenter. They see submitted answers separately from your private notes. Approved answers appear to the audience only after the presenter broadcasts them. New answers need another broadcast. Hiding or editing an answer withdraws it from the shared screen.
Room data: Rooms, display names and responses expire after 14 days and are removed during later room creation. Your presenter can delete them sooner. This site needs no ChatGPT account.
Practice material: Use the fictional files and non-sensitive examples. This course does not call an AI model or connect to your files. You choose what to provide to your separate AI application.
About this course
Created by Kyle Hobson. The sequence draws on the demonstrate → practice → compare → revise approach in his earlier Coursera guided project. These lessons and fictional exercise files are newly written; they do not reproduce the original videos.
You may reuse these original materials with your team. Preserve the fictional-data labels and source links. Linked third-party documentation belongs to its respective publisher. This course is independent of OpenAI, Anthropic and Coursera.
Teaching references: Carnegie Mellon’s teaching principles and active learning guidance. Navigation follows progressive and staged disclosure: the current task stays visible, with supporting material available on request.
